Yeah I read it over and over lol... I have the 12" no problem from the prop... It's just not 12" to either side of it... It's about 6" to the left and 22" behind it... Really sucks I have no option but there or get a through hull transducer which I hear aren't as good... Trolling motor mount is a option but I haven't got a trolling motor yet... Not sure if I wanna buy one yet either.. For my boat it's pretty big and bulky and gonna take more serious modding to work since I have hand rails in the way...
