Just paying for the invasive species sticker in WY does not mean your boat is safe to launch. The fees are designed to fund the program which involves having G&F personnel and equipment at boat launches to check...and "de-louse" an infected watercraft and as far as I know, they dont charge you to clean it at the boat ramp. In my opinion....that is a service they should charge for. If your boat is infected and you don't do anything about it, then it should cost you. I believe the reason for the higher cost for out of state stickers is because of the infected lakes in Utah, raising the possibility of transferring the mussels. just my 2 cents worth.
