Question About Anchors

I've had my kayak for nearly 8 months and have never owned an anchor, partly because I don't know which on to buy. I've been told to buy a folding anchor (15-20 lbs?), but have wondered about how well it would work. Would that be enough of an anchor to hold me still in the current at Willow Beach? Or a strong wind at the lake?

Suggestions or first-hand stories would be much appreciated
