Neither myself nor bobber-boy has said at any time that trout are the preferred species for Yuba. What we continually say is that species like walleye and pike and perch are BAD because their populations are uncontrollable.
Yuba would be much better off with species like tiger musky and wiper -- but it's too late for that. We have walleye. Now, the only thing we can do is try to convince anglers to harvest walleye and pike at a rate high enough to keep their numbers low.
Quit trying to turn this into a trout vs. something else debate. It isn't about trout. It's about walleye and pike and perch in Yuba.
