RE "Only way I think we get rid of Allthe carp is to let the water users drain it dry. Kill everything. Start from scratch."
Curiously enough, (even though it was
in cheek) I proposed doing just this on the last Yuba "Blow up" discussion on this forum a couple of months ago. Think about it, based on what has transpired the last 8 years. Drain it dry and start over. As it refills, plant trout. Like last time, you will have about 3 years of incredible trout fishing for fast growing bows. The rough fish will then come on and the trout fishing will decline. Then the perch, eyes, and pike will provide good fishing for a few years, until the carp take over like they have now. When this happens, flush and repeat. Both trout guys and warmwater guys get their turn to be happy.
I wonder if IPP will go for that?
