Since this thread is sooo long, it would be hard to have read every reply unless you have followed it from day one. I'm not speaking for Bob and his answer may be different but I think the reason for traping perch would be to move them from lakes that have too many perch, like Mill
meadow to Yuba, especially since they plan on draining the lake anyway. Pineview would not be hurt by moving a few perch from there to yuba as well. Likely too late this year but if it was done before the perch spawn it could help the fishery IMO.
