Hasnt mother nature allowed perch, walleye, and pike to thrive naturally together for thousands of years? Oh wait, elavation, water level, carp, blah blah blah. I think the problem is not letting nature take its course. I know I know, predator/prey relationship blah blah blah. Sure, lets take perch from fish lake and put em in yuba, the only problem is it would probably take the DWR the next 5 years to certify the perch as healthy to plant in other lakes (again). I would definatly donate a boat and time for that. Ive said it a million times before. Utah trout lake crashes= plant millions of new trout to keep the pog gear guys happy. Warm water fishery crashes= eh... we'll just let people keep the predators and maybe in twenty years it will be fishable again. Oh yeah[shocked] I keep forgeting rainbow are somehow considered native here and we have to protect the hell out of em. Your absolutly right fisrmn, I dont want to have to drive all over the catch pike, walleye, ect... And I'll buy that argument, just as soon as you tell the trouters that we're not planting slimers anymore and THEY have to drive to another state to catch rainbows. That will go over well.
P.S. If this freakin weather dosnt break soon so I can go fishing instead of complaining on the forum then Im gonna go nuts!!!!!!!![frown]
