i never said they were not good finders.. i have a hummingbird flasher, and had a vex 18.. i said i hate them becouse they give me a headache! and can give other a headache too!.. if your good with it good for you!
as for depth.. at the gorge i had my vex 18 in 120 feet of water and it could not pick up a 1 oz jig past 80 feet.. that my experince with it.. if you can get it to do better then again good for you!..
my x135 and my 510 color have (for me) been much better fish finders then the flashers have been..
