If you get on the ice along the dam you should be fine but not on the South side where the trees are. Thefriends used what looked like a 2x6 to get on it today and that was after walking though mud, there on the south end. Keep an eye open for spider cracks and open spots, there are fewer where we were today but by the boat ramp there are a lot. Good luck.
