All this new ice fishing lingo - must have me befuddled [crazy]
I guess I fumbled my thought [blush]- meant to say the Jimmy was an example of a lure that inspired me. There was an article in the Jun/Jun-'11 issue of In-Fisherman on Tubes and Teeth - musky lures. Some are big - some are HUGE! Most were by Musky Innovations (no connection).
The tube on my triple-harness is a Yum-Dozee at 6". The Jimmy's are actually like 14" by the time they add a tail on the tube.
The one thing that struck me about their line - is they're all prickly - they have hooks coming off in all different directions - don't know that I'd wanna wrestle one of those out of our C&R Musky - but the notion of adding a back hook to a longer worm or tube - not original, but hopefully helpful.
Here's a couple more perch patterns I played with last night. I can only HOPE they inspire some fish to bite!!
