I skimmed through the myths and have given thought to what you all say. First off, they did the tests in a lake, not a river.
I agree, there is no arguing physics, the water inside weighs the same as the water around. Your soaked pants will weigh you down some for sure tho.
I do agree with the trying to get out is where it gets dangerous, and that is why full waders are dangerous, it is harder to get out of the water.
No, it is not like cement shoes, and no, it is not the end all but can you really say filled waders in a river is not dangerous?
