Jim, I bow to you on this one. You are correct on that deep it can be a waste of money. Little light down there anyway.

Newer fluorocarbon does get a bad rap however. It can make good knots that hold, it is much more suppler than the olden days.
As far as fluoro on dries. actually very nice in the the line is subsurface and not visible. Plus the effect it gives the fly is better.
That is all I am going to say on this.
