I'd add to this conversation that if you are doing alot of clear, deep fishing red loses it's visibility in the color spectrum more than any other color. If you are fishing mud bottom deep south type rivers you could probably fish with neon pink line and it wouldn't matter! lol But having said that lots of guys I know believe the red line gives them a distinct edge when trying to lure out those larger wiley lunkers. No personal experience to share on that here so if you do try it and it works post up and let us know!
