[cool]Hey, George, you didn't log in. I knew who you were anyway.
You may be right about the glutton for punishment thing. I prefer to call myself a "terminal masochist". Actually, we had a choice of going on the morning of the fourth, or Saturday. We elected to make a try for at least a little bit of fishing before everything was totally trashed for the weekend. I don't think we made a bad decision, but I would much prefer midweek on a non holiday week. But, sometimes you just gotta play the cards you are dealt.
I do not make my lures to sell. However, if we can arrange our schedules to "hook up" on the water sometime, I will fix you up with a "starter kit" and show you how to use them. The lures by themselves don't catch the fish. It is a complete system.
Sorry to hear about your run in with the bad apples. In the last year or so, the rangers have been patrolling more diligently and there have been fewer "incidents". It almost got to the point that TubeBabe and I were ready to quit going down early, because there were always youth gangs down there that had been "partying" all night and were prone to looking for some more excitement. Since they started closing the area from sundown to sunrise, it has just about eliminated that problem...but it has also interfered with my predawn walleye fishing too.
Shoot me a PM or an email and we will try to plan a get together.
