I have recently accquired a 9.9 horse power tiller steer sears gamefisher outboard motor produced for sears in approx 1982 or 1983 by Eska with Tecumseh cylinder heads (air cooled I think)
The info I have found so far says to mix oil and fuel at a 50:1 ratio. BUT with the new "technology" in outboard oils for 2-stroke motors I was wondering what ratio I should mix at? Any advise on this? I had it going with a 40:1 mix I use in my weed whacker but it seemed to still produce an abundance of smoke emissions. would it be safe to run a 25:1 ratio in here and go with roughly half the oil? or should i keep it to a higher ratio?
