I"m not in Beaufort, but I fish out of Murrells Inlet. I've fished the bay there in your area a few years ago, and it was a great experience.
I fish mostly offshore, mostly bottom fishing. At least, until they just changed the regs on us. They are making it more and more difficult for recreational anglers. We went out this past Saturday and caught a few kings and some larger spanish. It was quite a bit rougher than the weather forecast projected, so we didn't stay long.
