There will be a signup form located in the park office. You must sign up by 9:00 am in order to qualify for prize pool.
Closing Bell/ Weigh In:
Point boat launch
6:00 pm
Festivities
Hopefully some fish cleaning and immediate fish fry to be held directly after weigh in.
Entry Fee:
There is no offical entry fee to enter the tournament. However, it is suggested that each boat donate "something" to a prize pool. Maybe donate a sporting goods gift card, some tackle or a favorite lure, how about a river map of one of your favorite fishing holes, maybe give the winner your favorite walleye recipe. Be creative with this and have fun. There is no minimum.
(If you know what you might be donating in advance please email me at ktmbudd@yahoo.com so I can coordinate this)
Prizes:
This of course will depend greatly on what all is collected in the prize pool but the boat with the biggest walleye total weigh in will get the "lions share" with an additional prize being given to biggest walleye caught and an extra special gift to the boat with least amount caught or skunked out.
Rules:
1. Of course obey all Michigan DNR fishing regulations for the 2009 fishing season.
2. Maximum two anglers per boat.
3. All fishing must be done on the Ausable river between Foote & Cooke Dam.
4. Fish do not have to be alive at the weigh in. Catch and release is fine for those of you with the live wells but all fish must be of legal size.
5. Only walleye qualify for the weigh in. (But be sure to keep those rock bass for the fish fry---Yum !!!)
6. All fish must be caught on the river during that day. No stocking your cooler or live well from another sport before showing up for the tournament. (Honor system here guys)
7. Open to all members on this board and their friends and family only.
8. HAVE FUN !!! Any and all arguements automatically disqualifies your entire boat.
Things needed:
I IKNOW that I have a fish scale but hmmmm where did I put it? If you have a digital weigh scale email me at ktmbudd@yahoo.com
I can bring physical equipment (pans/colman stove, forks etc etc) for the fish fry but donations of plates, flour, salt, peper, oil are welcomed. Again email me at ktmbudd@yahoo.com so I know what I need to pick up.
[#bf0000]One last thing.... if you think you are going to make it for this please respond to this posting or email me at ktmbudd@yahoo.com so we have a good idea on how many people to expect.[/#bf0000]
