Winder
#12
the fish are still there at the narrows utah power now has a constant flow meaning that they dont go from a very low water lvl to a very high water lvl in a short period of time, which allows moss, trees, crass and brush to help clarify the water. In the spring last year the water was low before the moss growth came, we would go up there and average 2 lb trout, and caught a few over 4 lb. This wouldnt be possible without the moss thats up there. My family has land down around the utah idaho boarder and it has been as clear as i can ever remember, we have actualy caught trout down there, when 5 years ago you couldnt catch anything in that chocolete milk.

From what i have heard about a new lake up there is it wont be big enough to handle a good fishery, and that it will warm the waters below enough that trout will not survive well. Also if they build this damn there will only be a few hundred yards of public fishing so you wont have to worry about being able to fish, the land owners below wont let ppl get access now. The winter range that this will take over for the deer will also have an effect, it may not seem like there would be a huge impact to these animals but it would disturb there route from strawberry to there winter range threw that area, it may not effect them much but if it does the deer are already hurting enough in that area.

I grew up in the "west side" which is were the water rights will be going and yes it would help the farmers out alot, but i dont agree with ruining something so pretty and great for everyone to help some 5 or 10 percent of the ppl in the valley. After all they knew there was no water when they moved there.
The info i posted is mainly an opinion some of which i know for sure so dont hold me by it. So if i posted something wrong dont jump all over me.
