The area that lunker hunter2 is talking about has alot of public land mostly BLM ground. If you go this year don't expect to find many birds in western Box Elder county. The last couple of summers have been too dry for producing young birds. Numbers are at there lowest in 15 years. Idaho has the same problem and decided to close their hunt three weeks early. If you go enjoy the long drive and a good hike. I wouldn't plan on chukar for dinner. Someone mentioned guzzlers. Some years the state releases chukars near the guzzlers. They put them in other places last fall. I didn't go out there this year. I was asked not to by some of the people doing a study in that area. I hope there is still a few birds left for seed for next year. gshorthair
