no need for scent with perch. tip a waxie or peace of crawler on a sweedish pimple. hit the first one. pop out his eyeball and repalce the worm. now your in buisness. also never fish for perch at dark. they can see at night like other fish so they just lay on the bottom like walleye candy.[
