Yup I was one of the ones out there when you were there. I was the smucko that nearly fell down and sat in the river about 7pm[].
I wear camo wadders with a red pouch on left pocket and always always wear a red white n blue flag hat when I'm wadding so it shouldn't be to hard to spot me.
Last night was the first night I saw salmon trying to jump the dam. Saw about 4 fish go for it and fall back over.
I won't be down there tonight (wadders need to dry[frown]). And we have plans for most of the weekend and then I'm going to Petoskey on Monday so the next time I'll be at 6th street will be in the evening Tues & Weds (16-17) Usualy not as crowded in the middle of the week. Be sure to stop over and say hi.
Most of the fish I've seen taken so far have been hitting on single egg or fly egg combo. I did see a guy take a salmon last night using a jointed florence yellow rapala.
I've been tossing (and loosing) spoons, flies, and spawn but havn't (legally) landed one yet. It's a slow start so far but should get better over next few weeks.
