I saw no one mentioned silvers. They have got to be the craziest fish I have ever hooke into. I have had them burn up my drag on an expensive reel. I seen them jump over 5 feet in the air and even had one jump about 3 feet on shore. Now that is the way to land them. Pound for pound there is nothing like a fresh silver. At least not that can be caught in fresh water. I have caught musky, kings, steelhead, macks, and Stipers all in the 15 pound class and none of them were anything like a silver. Have yet to catch a small mouth so I can't really compare. I must admit a striper is a close second.
