half hitch, double half hitch, bowline on a bight (sometimes used as a sling since it has two big loops you could slip your legs thru), etc.. but.. here is a thought.. we have discussed before using a surgeons loop to give the fly a more natural movement.. couldnt you substitute the bowline (using a loop instead of a single line) ???? just a curious thought...
