the lake is plenty old for big fish. i believe it was stocked in the late 80s. weve heard reliable stories of 35"+ pike and tigers. however my theory is a number of things affecting the fishing:
1) now that the lake has a good number of big predators, the populations and sizes of the other fish, and even of the pike since they are canibalistic, have started to decrease. the lake used to hold some perch, but we havent seen one in 2-3 years.
2)some of the pike are dying off of old age and heat waves (warm water) there were a number of 35"+ pike that actually washed up on shore this summer so i think its about that time.
