I agree, hold on to them and use them, chances are good thay may be more accurate than the general maps you pick up off the shelf today.. "Not better than the conturing maps you buy off the computer and CD's"
I used to have some old waterway maps from back in the 60's they showed by far more geographic conturing than todays maps I pick up off the shelf at my bait shops, they showed every little creek, dranage ditch that a fish could get up in to...
so unless some one has filled in, put in a dam, taken out a dam lakes dont change that much in 100 years... swamps on the other hand can dry up or open up or do both...
