On my boat I used the "marine goo" (like shoe goo, but for marina applications. The set time was about 15 minutes. It sucked holding that in position so long, but mine has held through some tremendous pounding of waves and through the winter seasons fishing at Bear Lake (doesn't get much colder than that!) Anyway, good luck. I agree with the other guys, use a bigger piece of mounting medium than you think you need. That way, if you ever add another transducer or speed wheel, there will be plenty of room for it.
