Proper handling of fish to be released
#42
[font "Comic Sans MS"][size 2][#002850]I suspect that the locking of “the other” thread, and the creation of this one, was a sensible attempt to steer us away from the negative atmosphere that personal differences can breed and to steer us more towards the good part of the topic of the other thread ... the handling of fish. I would encourage everyone to avoid the personal issues and focus on fishing related topics. There will always be grudges and there will always be fishing. I would encourage writers to avoid expressing negative personal issues (subtle or blatant). That kind of stuff is uncomfortable for the majority of our readers and generally find it a turn off. Likewise, try not to assume that all constructive criticism types of comments made in your name are personal attacks. Most are not .

Hopefully this thread does not ultimately end up with the same demise as the other one. I really don’t like having to say what I have just said about posts. I much rather fish and read about fishing. But as a moderator, I felt I should step in and attempt to calm the tempest.
