I haven't had too much time to get out this summer, but I have taken my kids to the family fishing water where the snake runs into Ashton Res. Both times we have made the trip this summer things have gone well. My kids have been able to get as many stockers as I could stand.[
] The key is to get you bait, lure whatever in to the seam of the moving water and the flat water.
The caddis hatches have also been good there on cloudy days. It is a fun place to take a beginner fly fisherman or just to boost your confidence if you haven't caught any thing in a while.
