Depends on where you are fishing them. Where the water is over 45 degrees, use common methods such as crankbaits long line trolled, jig and worm in the rocks, sand, and weeds, bottom bouncer and worm harness.......
If you find yourself in water colder than that, I stay with light jigs. 1/16 to 1/8oz. In cold water (35-45 degrees) I always use plastics; twists or tubes and a worm. Fish so slow that it makes you sick. If I am getting light nibblers, but not takers, I'll add a little crawdad scent.
