Got up just early enough at six am. Truck is loaded of my fishing gear the night before and all I had to do was load the canoe on top and go. Stop for breakfast and stopped for bait. Arrive at the lake amost eight am. I only got a dozen night crawlers for a morning of fishing.
Got the pole ready and casted out.....watch the bobber....down it goes and set the hook...fish on! Got it close to the boat and it was a nice size bass, let it go as I was only trying to get as many bluegills as I can. Start again and bobber went down again, set the hook and same thing another bass, let it go again.
Move to another spot to try catching bluegills, but still hooking those bass... Moved again and again more bass. Gotta find them...
Then took the bobber off and left one bb weight and casted it out and watched the line, Bam! Hooked a bluegill! Then another and another! Wind is picking up and moving me around, had to keep in the spot to be catching as many as I can. Got nine keeper for the pan and let maybe three go. Caught maybe about 25 bass. Quit fishin at a little after 12:30pm.
Got home cleaned the fish and packed them for the freezer as I couldn't cook them right away as we were having ribs for dinner......
