Sandies go wild
#4
Just got back from an EPIC twilight trip on the Enterprise out of Long Beach Marina Sportfishing. I caught the first fish--a nice six pound sandbass on a 'chovy on a dropper loop. It would have won the jackpot but a barrie beat my grumpy. It was an awesome bite--"one stop" shopping and if you didn't get bit you probably didn't have a bait on the hook. Everybody caught their limits. We also had a good chomp on the plastics--pick your color--it didn't matter. They were slamming everything. Plus, this was July 4, and we had an incredible view of the fireworks on shore. In your post, you mentioned taking kids fishing--well, there was a large group of children fishing for the first time--they had a ball! I'm sure they are all "hooked" on fishing now! Also, the captain and the crew were great, and our group of anglers were great--no boneheads, whiners or obnoxious drunks. Now's the time to "beam yourself" aboard the Enterprise--the fishing's really "out of this world!"
