My Uncle in the U.P. says when the frogs outside his deer camp start peepin, the Smelt start running, hes gone by it before and apparently hes been successful, Im gonna head up there once he hears the "peeps" this year. I thought he was crazy but might be an idea to try, ill inform when I get the call
