Date: January 4, 2007
The Mexican Wolf Adaptive Management Work Group (AMWG) will meet in public at the Apache Gold Resort and Casino on the San Carlos Indian Reservation near Globe, Arizona, on Saturday, January 27.
Location: Apache Gold Resort and Casino, about five miles east of Globe on U.S. Hwy 70, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. (AZ Time) Overnight accommodations are available on-site at Best Western hotel, (920) 475-7600.
The public meeting will end earlier, if business has been completed.
Participants: AMWG meetings are open to the public. County, federal, state and tribal agency cooperators involved in the Reintroduction Project will be represented.
Purpose: Public meetings of the Adaptive Management Work Group are part of an ongoing process and commitment by project cooperators to keep the public informed on issues and actions pertaining to the Mexican Wolf Blue Range Reintroduction Project.
Agenda: A final agenda is available at each AMWG meeting. Discussion topics covered this time will include, but are not limited to:
Misc. updates for 2006, including end-of-year count results, depredation and nuisance responses and other field activities<br />
Annual Work Plan for 2007, timeline and progress to date, possible translocations and new releases, and outreach priorities and commitments<br />
Annual Report for 2006, timeline and progress to date<br />
5-Year Review follow-through, interdiction, incentives and compensation, and progress on 5-year recommendations<br />
