Is Henry's Lake open year-round?
#21
appreciate the other points made. To me it is about opportunity. we are losing hunters and fishermen with each passing of a generation. we need to start looking at increasing opportunities. I also don't think ice fishing is as bad as people think it would be. On the Berry I heard one time that the ice fishermen keep less fish all ice season than one good day in the summer by all of the boaters. people think fish are vulnerable through the ice, especially the big ones. But it is hard to catch them in the winter just like in the summer. I doubt people would be hauling 32 inch fish off the ice at Henrys just like they aren't hauling them out like crazy in the summer. A few big ones get caught in the summer and a few big ones would get caught in the winter, it wouldn't be a massacre like some of ya think. Good fishing to all of you. the main thing is we need moisure up in those Idaho drainages. Big runoff makes the fish and games job easy at Henrys.
