Michigander updates!
#2
If you look on the hunting forum on the main board you can see the deer I harvested , I guess I faired pretty good there . I am having my first mount done on the 8 point , my dad has a slab of cherry wood that we will be making the plack out of .

The birds have been fantastic ! I have seen more pheasants since the corn feilds have been cut down but , I have passed on shooting any . I'm hoping they will do a little more breeding to get the numbers up .
I didn't do any waterfoul this year even thou I now have a reliable boat and moter to get where I see the most of them at . It just isn't as fun as it used to be when I had my buddy with me .

Grouse are everywhere !!!! There just about on every trail I take in and out of the woods nomater what part of the state I happen to be in .
I attended a Pheasents Forever banquet and won two Charles Daly shotguns , the first was a 20 ga. turkey gun and the second was an engraved over & under 12 ga.

I am calling Roosterfish tonight to see about some antlerless permits in his area , this will be the last weekend for the black powder shooting . It may not happen , he recently added a new member to his family and you know how that goes , diapers , diapers , and more diapers !!!
Roosterfish won the Shimano softside tackle box stuffed with tackle we mods put up on the board a couple months ago . although I spent a week at deercamp with him I forgot to take it with me . He's in no hurry to get it , him and I get together every chance we can to go wet a line .

I'm doing a little coyote hunting during the evenings and steelhead fishing on the weekends when I'm not out scrambiling thru the malls looking for things to put under the christmass tree .
My 12 year old and her mom will be taking their hunters saftey for sure now . Santa is bringing the youngest a new Dartin compound bow and a 20 ga. Charls Daly youth shotgun , Mom is getting a Charls Daly 20 ga. semi-auto to start her new hobby , shooting clays . You shoud have seen what she did to the left over halloween pumpkins that decorated our driveway , all I can say is the deer ate very well that weekend .

Why so big on the Charles daly shotguns you may ask , free lifetime repairs including the shipping and handeling .
I'll stick with my regular brands on the rifles and muzzleloaders , they are worth any subsequent repair costs that might arise .

Can you belive this weather ??????
Snow up the wazoo one week and walking thru mud the next !
Everyone at work is either taking their last crack on getting a buck or waiting on some hard water to pull the first big muskey thru the hole .

How has it been for you ? Any pics from the feild ?
