No, I would not feel differently if I were attacked myself. I am an avid hunter and fisherman, have spent a lot of time in wolf and bear country by myself, and despite being within a few yards of a few bears, have never had a problem.
One thing that should be understood is these animals are not prone to attack humans, quite the opposite. Most of the very small # of wolf and bear attacks were a result of that animal feeling threatened (peoples fault) or the animal being sick from rabies or something else.

Takes all of the challenge out of it, takes all of her defenses away.
