this sounds like a good program, though it looks to be aimed at the rich, not many parents in my area that dont fish could'nt afford to pay that much, we do have a free fishing pond set up in a small deep bay off the sainte marys river for under 17 years of age to fish, it is stocked with rainbow trout and the sportsman club and other volunteers, are there at diffrent times with poles donated and gear to give to the kids who cant afford it and they get to keep what we give them, its are way to get kids on the water and off drugs, this year will be are 3rd year doing this, if the dnr will reup are permit for the pond.
may be i read the info the roung way, but thats how I took it, that its 50 bucks a kid, I know 50 bucks isnt that much, too us that have it, but to those who dont have it that can be a lot, sorry if I have affended any one.
