[#0000ff]I have followed the sea lion controversy with interest. I have been fishing along the west coast since the days before sea lions became the darlings of the conservation crowd. In those days the sea lions had some respect for fishing boats, because if they didn't, they got a force feeding...of a piece of high velocity lead. It's amazing how brazen and destructive they have become since gaining protection status. I wonder if it is possible to estimate the total cost of their predation...both in total fish kill and potential lost revenue to both sport and commercial anglers.[/#0000ff]
