I've never camped at American Falls but I'll tell you what I know.
I don't know for sure but I believe they charge a fee at Sportsman’s Park and Willow Bay. You could camp for free on BLM land in a few places but it isn't very scenic. I'm sure you could find more info if you searched the web.
