steam plant....
#1
well i figured I would head to TVA cumberland yesterday morning, since it was spitting snow, cold and windy...figured there would not be as many other folks out...WRONG [unsure] Place was packed.

Caught a lot of skipjack, tho the skipjack were fewer and harder to catch...the shad were 'kinda thin' as well...the schools runnin the shoreline were very thin, compared to how thick they have been in the past few weeks. Caught several white bass and 20+ striped bass in the 9-11 inch range....if i was fishing in a lake somewheres, i would have thought the stocking truck had just dumped a load or two in the river. Talked to another guy right before I left (around 4:30 pm) who had been there all day and he said he thought he had caught 100 or so of the same stripers.

Which brings up a question....i 'heard' they stock stripers.....do they stock them in the cumberland?? or certain lakes?? I know fish typically run in 'year classes'....maybe all the year old or so ones were just at the plant yesterday....OR maybe they've always been there i just finally figured out how to catch more of the bass types instead of soley skipjack....dunno [Smile]

guess i'm a windbag this mornin...lol

back to my coffee...
