Hard Water Sports Besides Ice Fishing?

I definetly fish all winter--fly and now ice-- but I have been an avid snowboarder for 8 or 9 years now. Usually Brighton or the Bird (sundance weekday season pass during the lean married years). Me and my buddies used to go down to fairview canyon and hike the backcountry for fresh turns when there was no new snow at the resorts. I also like to just go for hikes in the hills. This is about the best time of year for viewing wildlife. The deer and elk are down low and there are lots of bald eagles that winter in Utah. This morning I saw 17 rocky mountain bighorn sheep (three full curl rams) hanging out just above the new cedar hills golf course.
