I thought you might take intrest in a news flash on todays tv news in detroit.
the note that the avian flu has moved to Brittian,
a bird was found dead and was tested positive for the flu.,
the finominal part about this is that they reported that it was spread by migritory birds who flew north west for the winter. and what is even more strange is the bird it infected. a "parrot in a pet shop!"
this rings of illegal bird trafficing to say the least. I realy have a hard time beleiving that a bird flew north west for the winter and in side a pet shop and infected only one bird. in the imortal words of sherlock holms "if you remove the obvoius and what ever is left no matter how improbable is the solution to the game afoot".
if any one else has thoughts to how a single bird inside a pet shop became infected with out infecting the rest and not killing a human transporter of the virus I would like to hear about it.
if you think about it if someone handled an infected bird out side and stepped in to the store and handled a single parret and steped out the door. according to sientest the person who handled the bird should have died. the shop caretaker should have died. the molt and dust shaken off the parret would have flown and drifted in to the other birds areas infecting them hence thier dieing. seeing that there is no cure for the flu... to hear the news around my neck of the pond the avian flu is the worst eppidemic since typhoyd.
any sluths here have another therie?
