[cool] Long time coming but here it is. Today I (meaning ME) stopped along the roadside of Union Lake to get in an hour of fishing before the ice sets in.
Casting from shore I pitched out a "gum drop floater" with a 1/4-ounce of lead one foot above my lure to sink the lure down to the bottom and sticking on a couple minnows on it to make it look good.
I was able to hook in two 2 walleyes right from shore casting reeling in along the bottom.
The walleye were under sized so I released them, it was good to land them and see that my new gum drops work as well as I though they would.
