[mad] This just makes me sick to my stomach. I think it is utterly absurd that the DOW is pushing the wholesale slaughter of these magnificent 25-30 year old fish for the sake of kokanee. You can't replace these huge fish overnight.
I think this is really short-sighted. Makes me physically ill to see such a waste of terrific trophy fish. [

It's one thing to remove big non-native fish to protect or help to restore native fish populations. At least I can understand the rationale. But this makes no sense to me. (Yeah, yeah, I know ... some economic study probably says kokanee fisherman buy more McDonalds burgers and motel rooms in Gunnison than mack fishermen do, but I'm not buyin' it.)
