FISHING: Fair
Labor Day weekend and there's going to be a lot of people heading out to enjoy their holiday weekend so drive safely. For fishing, we should start seeing activity in the Tillamook basin in the lower system especially after the fresh rain we got yesterday. Nehalem is producing with some days still better than others but should also see an increase after the rain putting a fresh smell in the water. The Wilson River is holding at 3.2 and steelhead are still being taken. Our fishing friend, Vu Tran, got away and fished the upper Wilson today. The bite was tricky forcing him to take out his arsenal of pink worms, corkys with yarn, spinners including the kitchen sink to eventually take a 4 lb steelie using a dark blue maribou jig. Good fishing to you all, Marilyn
