RECORDED: 78 ° FISHING: Fair
Deschutes River
Fair
Fishing has been a little slow but they are expecting the fish to get there in a week to ten days. The water in the Columbia fro the Dalles dam to Bonneville dam is finally starting to cool with the cooling weather and that should get the fish held up at the mouth of the Deschutes moving. In a week or ten days you can expect to catch fish below Sherar’s Falls and a another week o ten days will put a number of fish above the Falls and fish can be expected up there too. Swinging traditional steelhead patterns like the Skunk’s or a Freight Train will be the most effective technique.
