i've never done it but, a lot of guys i know do and swear by it .
if you have a meijers or k-mart , they usually have a cheap set of 3 brodheads for around 5 bucks , use them for practice but make sure you are using the same grain weight your bow manufacture recomends for your bow .
when shooting any brodhead at a safe target , align the brodhead blades in the same line as the fletches . this will reduce air flow friction and assist your arrow to fly true .
