South Fork of the Boise (Below Anderson Ranch Dam)

This is still a boat fishing dream. The river is still high enough to float with ease and fishing is beginning to pick up. There are a few stoneflies around and there have been reports of some pink alberts and a few caddis are almost always present. Nymphing through the day is the best while there should be a few hatches in the evenings consisting of pink alberts, caddis, and there are always midges.
Flies: Beadhead Pheasant Tail, 14-20, Copper Johns, 14-20, Kaufmann's Stonefly Nymph black, 4-8, Caddis Pupa, 14-18, Brassie, 16-20, Elk Hair Caddis, 14-18, Salmon Fly BLT, 4-8, Pink Alberts, 16-18, PMD Comparadun, 14-18, Stimulators, 8-14
