Beaver Creek Reservoir - Lake is full and trout fishermen are doing well on rainbows and browns, mostly with bait but some on lures. Kokanee are also active, hitting spinners cast from shore or trolled near the dam. Best fishing is early morning and early evening.

Blue Mesa Reservoir - Salmon fishing remains good. Troll Pink Jewels or Kokanee Killers in red, green and pearl/red at 3 to 4 colors. Lake trout fishing has tapered off but a few are still being caught on large firetiger or frog-colored Kwikfish trolled at 70 to 90-foot depths. Fishing for brown trout and rainbows is fair at the Gunnison river inlet using Power Bait, worms and Rapala-type lures. A few perch are being caught up the Soap Creek and Cebolla Creek inlets using small jigs tipped with meal worms or nightcrawlers.
