INSHORE (State waters):

Red drum and spotted sea trout activity is picking up.

Charleston Area: Red drum are in the surf, harbor and jetties. Very large fish have been reported at Dynamite Hole and the Grillage, behind Fort Moultrie. Use shrimp. Spotted sea trout activity has slowed. Flounder can be found in the creeks. Look for sandy bottom areas with structures. Use live mud minnows. Blues are starting to show up.
Edisto River/St. Helena Sound: Nice size spotted sea trout and whiting have been reported in the creeks. Some nice ones in the two-pound range have been reported. Use shrimp or cut bait such as mullet.
